Four signings of worth 239 million euro. Frenkie de Jong, Neto, Antoine Griezmann and Junior Firpo.

This was one of the most expensive summer transfer markets for FC Barcelona. Was this excellent enough for Barca to win the champions league? For me, they did good business but, missed out on a right-footed defender. The only backup for Pique is now a 19-year-old Jean-Clair Todibo.

In Frenkie de Jong, they got one of the future talent and midfield maestro. He is an excellent box to box Barca DNA player. Alongside him, Arthur will be the future of the Barca midfield pair.

Antoine Griezmann or João Félix?

The second most expensive player for this transfer market, after João Félix is Antoine Griezmann. He is a world cup winner and a world-class player. Along with him, Messi, Suarez and Dembele will be a proper attacking formation. The only concern is Valverde need to find out whom to use and how. Or else, it will be like Coutinho’s case, a quality player but couldn’t perform at his level just because of Valverde was not sure where to use him.

The last player and for me, the most essential player Barca got is Junior Firpo. There was no backup for Jordi Alba for the whole season. This time, Barca got the best left-back of Spain U21 national team for just 18 million euro. Very good bargaining.

Ansu Fati, remember the name!

The transfer window for Barca was right. The failer to bring Matthijs de Ligt and trying too hard and too late for Neymar was not good business. Promotion of youth players from LaMasia like 16-years-old Ansu Fati and 21 years old Carles Pérezis a good move. I hope they get enough playing time to prove themselves.
