As English Premier League transfer window got closed on 8th August, many deadline transfer day deal got closed. The best was Arsenal’s.

When the transfer window started, the news in the air was that Arsenal got only 70+ million pounds as their total transfer budget. As the transfer window was coming to an end, all the hope for Arsenal’s fan was lost with no big-name signing.

Nicolas Pepe was a good start!

But the month of August 2019 started with a boom for Arsenal. With only eight days to go for the transfer window to get closed, on 1st August they signed Nicolas Pepe from French team Lile for 72 million pounds. This was just after signing William Saliba from another french side Saint-Étienne. William Saliba was loaned back to Saint-Étienne fro a year. He is another talented young french defender in the making.

One shocked and another master moved

But the best day for Arsenal’s fan was yet to come. On the last day of the transfer window, Arsenal completed two major signings, and both are unexpected. Arsenal wanted to fix their defence, and for that, they signed Kieran Tierney and David Luiz.

Kieran Tierney the young Scottish left-back. He got potential to the best in the world in a few years. We all know the quality of David Luiz alongside with his consistency problem. For me, David Luiz more a midfield player than a central defender. The importance is Arsenal getting him for 7 million pounds, which is a bargain for me, the quality and experience.
